presented by the California Junior Lifeguard Programs.

Well that is just what we are here to help you do. From the basic skills necessary to get you up and surfing, to more advanced techniques that will enrich your surfing experience.

"Newland Street" Super Surf Camp

In our continuing efforts to provide the very best in surf instruction, we have consolidated all of our surf programs and moved them to a new central Orange County location at Newland Street and Pacific Coast Highway on Huntington State Beach.

This location has much to offer the beginning as well as the more experienced surfer.

Central location is convenient to all of Orange County
More consistant, rideable surf to provide the participant with more board time
Better water quality along with more convenient parking and public facilities
The best instructors, and equipment all at one location

WHAT IS A SUPER SURF CAMP?

A Super Surf Camp is a one week long day camp providing surfing and bodyboarding instruction, supervision and activities that are managed by the California Junior Lifeguard Programs Inc.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Swimmers, surfers and bodyboarders of all ability and skill levels, ages 8 through adult are eligible to attend the SUPER SURF CAMP. All participants must be able to safely handle themselves, have ocean and swimming experience in the surf zone.


SAFETY FIRST The California Junior Lifeguard Program offers step-by-step skill development with a safety-first motto. We take pride in offering a variety of challenging activities with expert instruction in a fun atmosphere designed for the young and the young at heart. Camaraderie, self respect, physical conditioning and good clean fun are all important aspects of the Super Surf Camps.
Drugs and alcohol are not tolerated!

HOW DO SUPER SURF CAMPS WORK?

Super Surf Camp participants are divided into groups according to ability levels:

Beginner groups are taught the fundamentals of surfing, ocean conditions swell, tide, safety, board and equipment care and maintenance.
Intermediate and advanced participants are exposed to additional skills and are treated to advanced surfing techniques
Other activities include First-aid/CPR orientation, and interpretive presentations provided by community and industry professionals.

INSTRUCTORS

The Super Surf Camp staff are 'World Class' surfers that are first-aid/CPR certified lifeguards and instructors. We recruit our staff from around the world and all of our instructors must pass an extensive interview and demanding physical testing process.

WHERE ARE SUPER SURF CAMPS LOCATED?
SUPER SURF CAMPS are conducted at Huntington State Beach in Central Orange County (Newland Street and Pacific Coast Highway). The Orange County coast offers a truly unique combination of world class surf breaks along, perhaps, the most beautiful coastline in the world. The winding coastline captures swells year round and blends warm water and great weather to create excellent surfing conditions.

2010 SURF CAMP SEASON

The Super Surf Camp season is broken down into Spring Break Camps and Summer Camps.

Spring Break Camps
There will be 2 Surf Camps scheduled for the spring break period this year. They will start on April 5th, and April 12th.

All scheduled camps are subject to minimum enrollment requirements
Summer Camps
During the summer season, Super Surf Camps are held weekly from June 14th through September 3rd. This schedule is designed to accommodate both the traditional and the year-round school schedules and are an excellent recreational option for shorter vacations.
Times
Super Surf Camps meet Monday - Friday from 9am - 3pm.

There are NO tryouts for Super Surf Camps!

PROGRAM FEES

The cost for a 5 day Super Surf Camp is $310 per person. A deposit of $100.00 must accompany your registration form. The balance is due three weeks prior to the start date of selected session. Participation in the camp is available on a first come, first served basis. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Please note that we strictly limit camp size to ensure a quality experience.

Program fee includes, Camp T-shirt, and free use of loaner surfboards and wet-suits.

If you are unable to attend a full week of instruction we also offer surf instruction by the day for only $75 per day per person
(Must be paid in full at the time of registration).

Program fees may be charged to your Discover, Master Card or Visa credit cards or paid by check.

HOW TO REGISTER

It's fast and easy to register for a Super Surf Camp. Just go to our Register Today page and follow the instructions there. Camp size is limited and they do fill up, so early registration is important to insure that you have a spot reserved for the dates desired.
